Sundayblues, Singapore 28/Mar/10

Our flight touched down early in the morning and we requested for an early check-in. free pick-up from the airport was arranged for us. We were upgraded to a Grand Suite upon arrival!! Me and my partner were pleasantly surprise with Hotel Ree's generosity. The room was clean and spacious. Housekeeping was done twice a day and consistently replenished bottles of mineral water for us. The location of the hotel is quite strategic. We took about 10-15mins ride from the airport (by car) and around 5-7mins away from city (by tuk-tuk). The staffs in Hotel Ree were overall friendly, polite and speak fluent English.

Ree Hotel Siem Reap Rooms, pool and facilities are excellent friendly service by all staff........ .except for Night Duty manager A really superb hotel. A little distance from the centre of Siem Reap but 10 minutes and $2US gets you there Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Tuk Tuk driver No.4 highly recommended,
can hire for the day for US$14.

I spent a few days at the Ree Hotel while traveling in Siem Reap and I would recommend anyone traveling toutilize the guest houses instead. The room was heavily occupied with mosquitos, there was a $3 charge for internet and the shower water was barely warm. The location is far from the old market and pub street which does not allow for walking or biking. There is a wonderful Spa and swimming area if you are interested in taking advantage of those benefits, otherwise I suggest paying less and support a local guest house such as Babel.

"Outstanding staffs make up an excellent hotel! My wife and I stayed at Ree Hotel for 3 nights. Staffs are splendid and did everything they can to make us feel at home. They were very accommodating to our requests. Attention and care was given to us by Ms. Sovalantheara prior to arrival. Same approach was extended by Ms. Maravy from the reception team during our stay. I suppose, she has given a lot of effort to assist us with our last minute helicopter tour in Siem Reap! A big thank you for her diligence! Other staffs contributed as well in delivering outstanding service and great customer service. They all truly made every minute of our stay an unforgettable experience. We have travelled to other countries in Asia but we have found true hospitality in Siem Reap. From the hotel staffs to the taxi/tuk-tuk drivers and Cambodian people around Siem Reap, they all made us feel welcome through their warm smiles.

Hotel wise, it's really worth of what we paid for. Clean hotel with spacious room, free wi-fi and full amenities. Housekeeping tidies our room daily and replenishes bathroom amenities and bottled water regularly. However, spa and gym section could use some improvement with the interior design. Restaurant is well presented with clean table wares but menu options could be improved as well. The hotel is well located near airport and not too far from town and temples. Just a $3 ride (one way) by tuk-tuk to town.

I always check Trip Advisor before booking a hotel and have never been steered wrong. We were late in booking our accommodations in Siem Reap and were unable to get into the highest ranked hotels. I was a little worried about booking into a hotel that was ranked #96 but WOW what a nice surprise! This hotel was great value and a very nice place to stay. As mentioned it is out of the city center but that was okay with us as that also meant it was away from the dust and crowds. From our pick up at the airport, to purchasing our bus tickets for the trip to Phnom Penh, to arranging our wonderful massages (the spa at the Ree is worth a visit) the staff at the Ree Hotel handled everything we asked of them. One reviewer commented that the sun goes down behind the building in mid-afternoon which leaves the pool area in the shade. I noticed this as well and felt that this was a negative but then I like the sun and others might be more sun smart! On the upside the pool is huge, clean, has great lounge chairs and was pretty much empty anytime we wanted to use it. People with young children- this pool is not for you. The shallow end is far too deep for anyone under 10.

Big, anonymous and okay It is big, professional and friendly and great for tourgroups. Individual travelers will probably find it's lack of character a reason to move on.  The Ree Hotel is one of those big, anonymous hotels you seem to find everywhere in Asia outside the centre of cities. There is nothing really wrong with it, but also nothing that votes for it. We left after one night as we found the distance to Siep Reap city centre too far and the tuktuk fare too high. The Room was absolutely okay, quite big and very clean. But the windows were that typical blue that makes you feel empoisoned a bit and very surprised about the clear blue sky that appears to be there when you open them. The balcony was small but the view on the air balloon near Anchor Wat quite spectaculars. Breakfast was served outside, the pool is big and blue and the garden seemed okay . But there is absolutely no reason at all to stay in that neighborhoods. Airport Road is what it says: the road to the airport with the same type of hotel after hotel all the way.

Amazing value for money Very nice room, amazing customer service, great value for money! AMAZING  place to relax for low cost! A tiny bit far from town, but with the cost of a tuk-tuk, not really a problem. The breakfast was good, but not as good compared to other hotels of this category. Someone was waiting for us in the airport with our names, they took us to the hotel, we did the check-in with a welcome drink from a comfort of a sofa, and we got upgraded two rooms up. Very cozy room, with AMAZINGLY comfortable bed. We got a welcome personalized letter with a fruits basket, LCD TV with every single channel, the tuk-tuk organized from the hotel was great value for money, cheaper than in the streets, and no need to bargain! They changed money at great fees, people always with a smile... honestly? GREAT escape! Shopping Tip : When you arrive, head straight to the market with your tuk-tuk. Buy some books and snacks here, NOT in the ruins! And ALWAYS bargain. The original offered price is normally 4 times higher! Plus, get a 4 hands massage! for US$10 an hour, AMAZING!

'Nice hotel ..but a bit out of the way'' Nice hotel... very clean...but the breakfast is terrible... not much variety and when one of the dishes was finished on the buffet it was not refilled.... great pool... the write up says that is in the nerve center of siem reap this is no true it is 10min too to town by tuk tuk... way too far to walk.

'Great place to stay'' This hotel was a little bit out of town (10 mins) which was nice not to be close to centre. The Pool was fantastic but the Sun sets behind the hotel at about 3.30 pm which was a bit annoying The food was great and also amenities. The price was a little expensive so advise would be shop around first.
